A Little Behind In Posting Picture Of The Day

With getting everything ready for the Donna Downey workshops at the store
this past Saturday plus the snow/ice plus a few shipments coming into the
store I am a little behind in posting my pics of the day. Hoping to catch up
this week.

Tonight I am enjoying a little "down time" catching up on blogs/sites
while sipping some warm cider.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr It's Cold In Atlanta

Today was major errand
day and as I was driving/cutting across to Peachtree Industrial Blvd this caught my eye. I was nice and warm in my car and I was sipping my Dunkin so I did not dare get out to take pics but I was able to zoom in a get a few decent shots of this frozen fountain for today's pictures :)

I have my mug of hot cider and more new decorating mags so I am crashing early tonight. The next few days are going to be crazy busy at the store getting ready for this Saturday's special event with Donna Downey so I am trying to take it a little easier at night and not work too much on store stuff online. We are getting a ton of CHA sneak peeks and order info so the ordering fun is beginning a little earlier than usual...Off I go to my
cozy warm bed with the pups :)

Laid Back Sunday

Jen and I headed over to moms today making not 1 but 2 stops at 2 different
Dunkin Donuts along the 1 hour 10 minute trip for coffees.

We gave her this for one of her Christmas gifts. Now she can burn cds from all her older lps and cassettes. She and dad had quite a collection over the years and several times
while we were out shopping this fall she would comment on
these. While we were doing all the post holiday shopping she fell in love with the wooden chest and bought it. So today was delivery day for me and Jen. On the way we saw the coolest waterwheel frozen with icicles. It was on the other side of the road and I meant to stop on the way home and take a few pics for my pic of the day but I ended up coming home another way. So todays pic of the day is
one of the gifts :) Everyone here is being lazy tonight
including all the pups. Mom sent us home with her terrific homemade veggie soup for dinner.
Yum! Simple but one of my favorites along with her fresh rolls. The perfect end to a calm laid back family day. To cap it off I am crashing with the Sunday paper (planning a major organizing
supply spree tomorrow) and my stack of January mags and a cup of Godiva Hot Chocolate :)

What's Your Word For 2010?

Several message boards have had posts the past few
days asking gals what "their word" for 2010 is...
The reponses range from organize.....grow...believe...
create....cherish...embrace...enjoy.....joy....connect....
purge....family...and many others..

I thought about it through out the day and of course
I could not pick just one but the ones that I have chosen
are

CREATE--I have so many things and ideas I want to
try, make and do. People always say to me you are
so lucky that you own a LSS you can scrapbook all
day long. Those who know me well know that sometimes
weeks can go by without me being able to scrap a thing.
I actually scrapped more at CKC Charlotte in 3 days
than I had all year long :)
There seems to always be something on my to do list
at the store. Even though I have a craft room and a
scrapbook room at home nights often find me doing
paper work....looking at product...planning mini album
ideas...planning ideas for the store..plus all of Gerald's
business paperwork.....that I have yet
to even set up either of my 2 rooms the way I want
at the new house. Just yesterday I spent 12 hours
working online from 8:30am-8:30pm for the store.

SIMPLIFY--going to concentrate on what is really
important in life family...friends and me.


ME--This one will be a hard one for me but I am going
to start putting myself first some of the time. It may
sound a little selfish but I most often tend to put myself last and
take care of everyone else first. There are so many things on
my want to do list and time just keeps flying by without my
getting to do them so this is the year. It may mean I have to
say no sometimes but 2010 I am going to concentrate on
ME more :)

Sticking with the ME for 2010 I am going to put the store online
work on hold for a few hours and play with this (my picture a day
for today) One of my gifts from Jonathan was the ION FILM2SD
I love this little machine. The unit has its own card slot so you can
scan slides and negatives without hooking the USB cable up to your
laptop/computer. Which is great if you want to scan and upload
but don't want to be sitting at the computer.
It has a built in screen...auto focus...color balance etc. I have literally
1000's of negatives from when I was little and from Jonathan and
Jen so I am going to be putting this baby to good use all night long :)

Starting A Personal Blog In Addition To The Store Blog

I have decided to start a personal blog for 2010. I try to keep the majority of my posts on the
store blog info pertaining to the store. So on this blog I will concentrate on things
in our CRAZY everyday world :)

I have several personal projects lined up for 2010....just a few are

start decorating this new (ok not so new we have been in this house
1.5 years already) house

help Jonathan do some things to our other house
that he is living in

get my scrapping room set up (have most of the furniture in one of the
garages waiting to be set up..just need the time)

get my general craft room downstairs set up

take more pictures of everyday life (I already
take alot of pics but you can't ever have too many)

Definately going to do my own version of project
365.....picture a day idea again

spend more time with my mom :)

spend lazy Sundays at more small towns, festivals
and markets in Georgia

simplify some of the stress in life

worry less about things and concentrate
on ME more

create and play more

and the list goes on.

Today I have been online working on a few store projects since 8:30am this morning
so my picture today is my constant companion Miss Cocoa...still not feeling 100% but
getting a little better each day :)
